As we were reading some peoples blogs and going over to Korynn's parents christmas eve for dinner and for the true meaning of christmas (as read by papa olsen) got me to thinking of my own memories of what we did for christmas and how things have changed over the years. We first on christmas eve would get together, and this was before any of us kids were married or had inlaws or kids of our own, we would get all the farm work done and eat dinner then my dad would read "twas the night before christmas" to all of us. After that we would go to bed and as boys we would try and stay awake to hear santa and try and catch him putting out presents for us but never could stay awake and as Spencer would do go out and see what we had gotten and my parents would yell out to us to get back to bed. Then after we had done the farm work that morning my dad would go get my grandparents, who lived next door, to watch us open our presents (and it would also happen with birthdays also). As we got older my grandparents stopped comming over and we would go over to there house and instead of my dad reading "twas the night before christmas" I did but it didn't have the same effect unless my sister kids or my brothers kids were there. Before I moved from Utah we would all come up to my parents house by around 10 or 11 for christmas breakfast( those who could make it) then open christmas gifts unless my dad was working that day. Now with me going to have a kid for next year I would like to combine traditions but it is going to be hard to get to my parents house for christmas breakfast though, but maybe we can do it on Korynn's side (if they wanted to) after or before they visit all there inlaws also.
On another note Korynn's blood pressure was low when she went to the doctor on dec. 23. We were both happy about that. She is in her 12th week and has one good day to every bad day she has so her morning sickness is easing up a bit YEA for her. Just a bit of an update to our little bundle of joy we will be having in July.
